A majority of Jeff Sessions’ home state of Alabama disagree with him. Vice, The Guardian and CNBC have published recent articles on the marijuana/Attorney General Jeff Sessions battle. Previously, we published a map showing state by state U.S.approval and disapproval percentages. Since then, the Attorney General has promised to change the law with federal crackdowns on states that approved legal pot use.
The Attorney General has taken a lot of heat since announcing a crackdown on legal marijuana, just days after more states approved recreational use of the weed. Investors in particular worried their anticipated profits would be flushed forever. Many disagree. The U.S. edition of The Guardian reports the crackdown just might be a blessing in disguise. It’s a sad situation when one elected or public official’s own state, in this case Jeff Sessions’ Alabama disagree with him.
