2018 brings so many promises with it, many promises people make to themselves. You promise yourself you will lead a healthier lifestyle, eat better, lose weight, lower your cholesterol…etc. Those are promises only you can keep or not keep. CNN’s Lisa Drayer reports eating more fruit and vegetables isn’t that hard and sometimes the uglier the vegetable, the healthier it is.
Drayer’s advice is great. We take it a step further by saving the stems from fresh broccoli. The stems juice better than the florets. Whatever fresh vegetables are left over after a recipe, go into the juicer. It’s a savings when nothing has to be thrown out. We try to purchase fresh vegetables that will serve both purposes. We may even cut a cucumber in half and use one half for juice and the other for a salad for two. On days when there are no vegetables around for a salad or a serving, there is always vegetable juice in a bottle on the refrigerator door.
While were on the subject of promises, government both federal and state promise a bunch of new laws for 2018..Among them, who gets the dog in a divorce. CNN also gives us a list of new state laws for 2018 .
So some promises you can control and others you can’t. All one can do is try to love, laugh and live the best lifestyle possible. Happy New Year!©
