First thought was to not touch this subject. Robots for sex is not something we care about nor do we care to comment about it. However, since high heels and hot flashes means those with hot flashes can still wear high heels, it also means we come from a generation that has seen it all. Some of us tend to think of societal consequences and societal impacts on young people. Of course that excludes criminals like 64 year old Las Vegas shooter. We don’t know what he was thinking.
With that said, don’t we have enough problems in this world, many of which are avoidable? Rape, murder and evil in general is on the rise. People hurt people, people hurt animals, people hurt children and people in power hurt little people to enhance their own well being. Where does this anger and evil come from? Who knows, but why would we perpetuate it with dumb stuff like sex robots? Legally, a robot can be raped. Can’t society see the future consequences from digitizing sex to create power on one side? One would think that any man with a daughter would be vehemently opposed to sex dolls being released to the public. Most of the sex dolls are female. The few male sex robots produced every year reportedly are purchased mostly by men. That means women are not really interested in male sex robots.
Let’s talk about the robots. These robots are designed to obey. How much they obey and what they obey is determined by how much they cost. Who doesn’t think this obedient robot won’t shape the minds of young people into thinking that’s the way life is supposed to be? Who doesn’t think these robots could lead young people to rape and sexually abuse humans who don’t obey?
I was a kid when the question of whether or not toy guns in the house was good or bad. We had water guns but in retrospect, why? Why couldn’t we have toy hoses or toy spray bottles? Why were they guns? Today, many of my childhood friends and probably half of my generation of men, died in Vietnam by guns. Think again about the quantity of guns in the Las Vegas shooter’s room and homes. Maybe what we do is what future generations will do because “what we give is what we get….what we get is what we give.” Mom: Lillian Thompson
There has been so much discussion about these sex robots that it’s boring. The View touched on it Friday, only to say much of the same thing High Heels is saying: “Stupid”. It destroys any thought of mutual affection between two people and it makes an already lonely or mentally unstable person seem even more unstable if there is a sex robot in their thoughts.
Despite my opinion, production of these dolls is on the rise. They are on their way to the market place. Some groups are attempting to stop the marketing for the reasons above and more. Some potential manufacturers are talking about them to weigh the response, but haven’t actually rolled out a sample as yet. They believe they have a market for them and perhaps they will. Word is, the most expensive ones that have the most functions about them, are also getting married to the humans.
In High Heels opinion, this is so stupid that we didn’t think it could get any dumber until we ran across a site that actually published a discussion about whether or not sex with a robot is actually cheating.
Will this type of lifestyle become the norm in the future along with:
- students bullying other students and students murdering students
- rape of a handicapped child broadcast live on Facebook
- mass murder before suicide
- Weinstein, Weiner & the rest of the Un-Wise.
Put that together with a list of our other political and social problems not listed and we en route to overload. We don’t need robots to perpetuate sexual abuse. As one of my grandmothers used to say: “Lord help us” and that’s not meant to be funny.© Have we lived too long?
